Kids for Peace...Through the example of Friendship and Cooperation - our Everest Climb for Peace has provided an inspirational example of Community, Teamwork, and Cultural Understanding.
-Through our educational partner Room to Read we have helped fund two libraries for kids in Nepal. Our next goal is to help fund a school.
It is our desire to help educate and inspire kids across the world at home and in the classroom as we will use our documentary film as an educational tool - to help kids (and adults) learn about peace, teamwork, and multi-cultural understanding. Bring our film Everest: A Climb for Peace into your classroom and have Lance Trumbull give a motivational and educational presentation.
The Everest Peace Project has just helped fund its first two libraries for children in Nepal. Help us fund a school!

Room to Read: "World Change Starts with Educated Children"
"Our mission is to provide under-privileged children with an opportunity to gain the lifelong gift of education. Founded on the belief that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and taking control of one's own life, we currently focus our efforts on Cambodia , India , Nepal and Vietnam . Room to Read is a dynamic, results-oriented organization. Since our inception as a non-profit entity in 2000, we have impacted the lives of millions of children by building over 8000 libraries and schools and donating over 5.6 million books and funding over 7000 long-term girls' scholarships. Over 90% of donations go directly into programs. "
Room to Read's Library Program :
"The first step toward the lifelong gift of education is a child with a book. However, many rural areas lack the resources to establish a library. In some cases, not a single book is available to children to encourage independent learning, not to mention the opportunity to grow a lifelong passion for reading. Our Reading Room Program is designed to address this issue directly. We have already established over 7100 libraries and our goal is to establish thousands more. We fill each of these libraries with as many as 500 local language and English books encompassing a wide variety based on student age level. "
